Happy Easter everybody! Today, I bring to you the trailer for the short my group, Alumninati, would have submitted to the 48 Hour Film Contest.
For those that are unfamiliar, a 48 Hour Film Contest is where you get a group together, draw elements like genre, prop, a line and a character. In 48 hours (but really less) you take all those elements, write a script, film and edit scenes into a complete short.
My awesome group stayed up until 4 a.m. the night of the drawing to write a script, spent 10 to 12 hours filming on saturday and everything was set to go for me to edit, but unfortunately, through oversight, almost all the footage was lost and we were forced to resign from the contest. Every single person in the group was totally supportive and never blamed me for everything. I was the hardest on myself for I had never dropped the ball like this before and felt I let everyone down. I apologize for being reduced to a shell of a man for the remainder of the night.
However, I did have existing footage which I was able to use to make a trailer for the short that never came to be. So, now I present...the trailer for "Subrogation."
Note - Since no longer eligible for the contest, to make the trailer more well-rounded, I used some stock material.
E.J. is just a simple man who loves movies. Don't judge.
